Greubel Forsey Invention Piece 1 Platinum

The Invention Piece 1 pays tribute to the Double Tourbillon 30°,

the first Fundamental Invention by Robert Greubel & Stephen Forsey

and the fruit of 4 years’ patient research.

In a restructuring of volume and surface, the emblematic double cage is placed

at the centre of an innovative display: two triangular indicators – red for the hours,

blue for the minutes – show the passing of time on one half  of  two of

the concentric rings on the movement. Movement is the patented

Greubel Forsey hand-wound caliber GF02N, double tourbillon with 38 jewels,

beating at 21,600 bph and with a power reserve of 72 hours.

Functions are off-center double tourbillon 30° (outer tourbillon rotates every 4 minutes,

inner tourbillon every 60 seconds), sectorial display of hours and minutes,

seconds display and sectorial power reserve indicator.

The case, in platinum, measures 43.5mm.

It has double convex sapphire crystals and is water resistant to 30 meters.

The caseback has a hand-hammered bas-relief engraving of the story of the Invention Piece 1.
